Calhoun County Supervisors met June 30, and approved two resolutions dealing with interfund transfers as well as a appropriations resolution. Secondary Road updates were received. The Smoke-free Air Act was discussed, it is to take effect July 1 in Iowa.

A public hearing will be held on July 15 at 7:00 p.m. at MNW High School Auditorium dealing with improvements to Drainage District #120 which encompasses much of the City of Manson.

School Board nomination papers are now available thru' July 31 at the school secretary's offices. The school board election will be September 9.

Public meeting to be held July 31st on the visioning concept underway in Manson, at 7 p.m. at MNW High School.

Second Saturday events will be held this Saturday, July 12, in Pomeroy. A ribbon cutting and dedication was held last Sunday, July 6, for the Twin Lakes Trail.

MNW High School to present Dinner Theatre on July 22, 24 & 25.
