Cougar Girls Basketball team opened Tournament play with a 37-34 victory vs. MFL-Mar-Mac in the first round at the Iowa State Girls Tournament on Tuesday, March 2, in Des Moines. In second round action, the Cougar Girls defeated Odebolt Arthur - Battle Creek Ida Grove, 40-31, on Thursday, March 4, for their place in the Championship game to be held at 8:00 p.m. Friday vs. Mount Vernon.
